Building a park for our neighbourhood
Swanbank Lake was built in the 1960s to provide cooling water for the coal-fired Swanbank Power Station. The lake and the adjacent park became a recreational hub for locals, offering a picturesque setting for outdoor activities and family celebrations.
Today the park continues to be a cherished spot for relaxation and community gatherings, blending its historical significance with modern amenities.
In 2023 CleanCo Queensland formed a co-design panel to develop a masterplan for the transformation of the Swanbank site into a Clean Energy Hub. One of the projects prioritised by the community as part of this co-design process was the revitalisation of the Swanbank Lakeside Park.
We now have design concepts and elements to start the Swanbank Lakeside Park project and we would like to hear from you. Please complete the survey below to provide your feedback about the park elements and design concepts.
