CleanCo’s 'Reimagine Swanbank' Project has received a Commendation at the Planning Institute of Australia’s 2023 QLD Awards for Planning Excellence, held on 24 November.

CleanCo received the award in the Stakeholder Engagement category. The project was also named a finalist in the Strategic Planning Project category.

CleanCo submitted a joint entry with Arup and Max Hardy Consulting, firms we have worked closely with on this project since its inception in 2022.

Our Reimagine Swanbank project to redevelop a coal-fired power station site in Ipswich into a Clean Energy Hub with social infrastructure, was recognised for our stakeholder engagement strategy, which has helped to build trust through a co-design model and best practice public engagement.

The awards are presented by the Planning Institute of Australia as a way of recognising organisations that showcase leading practice across a range of planning disciplines.

Congratulations to the QLD winners, who will now go on to the national awards, to be announced in May 2024.
