Thanks to the Ipswich community members who joined our inaugural bus tour of the Swanbank Power Station precinct. This was a great way to celebrate the Sustainable Ipswich Festival and showcase the exciting projects happening at CleanCo's Swanbank site!

Thanks also to Hugh and Bill from the Ipswich Historical Society for sharing their knowledge of the Box Flat mining disaster at our first stop of the tour - the Box Flat Memorial. This tragic event in 1972 continues to affect our community more than 50 years later.

Next stop was the Swanbank Battery being built on the site where the coal-fired B station once stood, before moving onto the lookout for a bird's eye view of the precinct. The tour finished with morning tea by Swanbank Lake.
